LRP Regulatory Workers Speak Together About Reorganization

The workers in the Pittsburgh District Regulatory Program (the permitting group at the Corps of Engineers that balances the needs of navigation and the environment with needs for community development) this week delivered a document stating their views to the Pittsburgh (LRP) District Commander, ahead of a regional meeting where we understand courses of action will be presented to the Great Lakes and Ohio River Division (LRD) Commander for decision.

In addition, the Regulatory workers at LRP started a petition to the LRD Commander to demonstrate the breadth of worker concerns with this rapid development that would apparently reorganize the workers to report to a different command without input from those workers or the communities they serve.

Solidarity to the Pittsburgh District (and Chicago District, likely to also be affected) workers!)
